lullabies for mother earth

Mother Earth, our sweet unfamiliar relative whose beautiful strength unites nature, the fierce storms, seasons, and evolution of all living and non-living things. How is it possible that we are not held accountable to celebrate her every day as she peacefully guides us through the great unknown? Have we grown accustomed to her graciousness as cosmic nomads upon her back as she handles the heavy lifting like a galactic shotput? Well, dear listeners, I speak to you with a plea, to understand the hardships and struggles that our shared Mother Earth brings us, and one in which we may reflect upon the diligence and effort that our compassionate Mother Earth puts forth for us. As night dawns, Mother Earth prepares the sky for a majestic light woven with stellar dance, subtly adjusting elements as she seeks to optimize our complicated levels of comfort. She brings the life, the light, and the beautiful (if not sometimes destructive) strength that no mortal can reasonably alter. Mother Earth gives us mountains of hope and valleys of somber reflection, lined with oceans rich with vibrant life and strength. Dear listeners, it's important to recognize her intentions, and respect her power. With such strong hands, it's very possible at times for her to misjudge the amount of force to apply when dealing with our soft, delicate lifeforms. When we are unkind to Mother Earth, she pushes back and responds with great sorrow, so be cautious and respectful.

Let us take a bit of precious time to rekindle our appreciation and adoration for this sweet entity like Woodstock hippies and dance with flowers in our hair, dirt on our hands, and elation in our souls. Talk to a plant, eat a carrot, and hug a tree in a celebratory moment. Maybe even take it to the next level and shower in the rain using mud as shampoo or using a poison ivy leaf as toilet paper. I'll do the same, uh, later. I just have to do some errands first, so don't wait up. So, yeah, there it is. Peace.

Turn on, tune in, sleep...
